This year I learned quite a lot about myself and my work. First of all I got to use different animation software, as well as learned more about photoshop. This is important because in order to know how a software works, you need to figure out how each part functions. This became somewhat difficult, as it started to become an overload of information.
When collaborating with others, we worked well together. We each got our own roles to fulfill, and had to do our parts. It got somewhat difficult to do, as I am generally, a quiet person.
Communication helped me this year, by explaining my problems to the teacher. It allowed me to find solutions to my problems. Getting to that point is a hassle though, because I will try to figure out what I did wrong on my own.
Project management was an issue for me this year. When working on some projects, I was really slow. It got to the point where I never finished it. So, I need to learn how to work faster.
Leadership was difficult for me this year. I often got so wrapped up in my problems, that I never took initiative and asked for help. I need to learn how to take initiative.
My greatest strength, would be my ability to pour my effort ant time into a project. My greatest weakness would have to be my time management. I have gotten better at drawing since last year, and also shading. I would like to improve my skills in 3d animation though.
Im going to take what I have learned and make more improvements to it. In all honesty, I wish I could have done better this year. Im glad I learned what I did, and will move on with this new knowledge into next year.
Enjoy your retirement Mr. Olson!!!

I think my teachers are obsessed with spheres
Not to long ago I worked on a project for class where, surprise; we made balls bounce in 3d. When working on this, I put 3 videos on my desktop, of three different balls. I used Photoshop to mark the frames and height of each ball. I then created 3 balls in Maya, each with different sizes. I then applied materials, textures and bump maps for each. I then applied the frames and height of each ball to my animation. I tried rendering each frame, but I couldn't figure it out so, what I could get is shown below.
Snow
I was recently working on a project where I had to make snowflakes. I made them with a tool that creates polygons. I then used that tool to make half of part of a snowflake, mirror it, and duplicated it to make it. I did this six times, with each having different designs. Then I made them 3d objects. After that I made each one soft and applied a bump map to each. I was going to make an animation out of it, but I ran out of time. My results are below.

movie trailer
Last quarter, we were tasked with making a movie trailer. My team decided to do one called "the life of a wallflower," or something similar to that. We first recorded all the scenes and then began to edit the scenes together. I was tasked to make the blooper reel. It was much harder than you would think, as there were not many good ones. I managed to find the best ones, and strung it together. One of the things I would have changed, is I would have wanted to edit it a bit more to make it all work better.

Salt and cup
Recently i worked on a project where I was tasked to make a salt shaker and cup. I have yet to do the cup but I get the gist of how it will work. When working on the salt shaker, I learned how to use nurbs and create polygons. When I was almost done, I made a mistake and made holes in the model, so I had to artificially patch the holes.

Music video
Recently, I was assigned to make a music video. We got split up into multiple teams, where we would decide on what to do. We ended up doing a song called try. First we worked on the story board and film scape. Those were easier to do. Then we had to find volunteers to be part of the cast. I was the one who filmed, which took about 3 hours to finish. Finally we edited, and uploaded the video. Overall, the project was enjoyable and the people in it were great.
